Business Registry: company records will contain the “legality rating issued by” AGCM (Italian Competition Authority)
In a press release dated June 7, 2017, Unioncamere announced that the legality rating will soon be included in the business registry. Specifically, thanks to the agreement between InfoCamere and AGCM (Italian Competition Authority), starting from next autumn, the records extracted from the Chamber of Commerce’s Business Registry will contain the legality rating issued by AGCM to companies that have applied for it and have passed the Authority’s assessment.
Let’s briefly see what this is about…
The inclusion of legality rating information in the Business Registry, is part of the continuous improvement process for quality, completeness, and transparency of information maintained in the Chamber of Commerce databases. The rating assigned by AGCM, as required by law, is taken into account when granting public administration funding, as well as when accessing bank credit.
The “complete list of companies that have obtained the legality rating so far, along with their respective scores, is published on the” Authority’s website (http://www.agcm.it) and from next October will be integrated into the Business Registry records issued by the Chambers of Commerce.
As of the end of April 2017, 3,460 companies have received the legality “stars”. The majority are located in the North (55.6%), compared to 22% in the Center and 31.7% in the South and Islands.
62% are concentrated in five regions, with Emilia Romagna leading (15.3), followed by Lombardy (14.7). Veneto, with 420 companies, ranks fifth (12.1%). (Source: UNIONCAMERE)
