This week, I dealt with PTH non-polarized electrolytic capacitors for the first time.
Let me briefly explain the case;
During PTH production, we received boards where PTH capacitors needed to be mounted. The polarity of the component is indicated on the board’s topography and silkscreen, but nothing is marked on the component itself.
After a brief internet search, I discovered that non-polarized PTH capacitors exist.
Therefore, to improve PTH assembly, it would be better to indicate in the bill of materials and on the board’s silkscreen whether the capacitors are polarized or not.
