We are proud to announce that since April 2006, we have started producing entire production batches (SMT and PTH) in compliance with EU RoHS regulations, which will come into effect on July 1, 2006.
We believe that the results achieved are “certainly satisfactory, also due to our attention to detail from” component sourcing, through “storage, incoming inspection,” “assembly, and finally” packaging and shipping.
We can say that we have completed “the transition process that we began about a year ago following the release of the EU Regulation limiting the” use of 6 hazardous substances, which we have carried out in close contact with our suppliers and partners.
Furthermore, on every Printed Circuit Board we assemble, we are already applying our standard Prime Production Lot label with the integrated PB-free symbol, as required by regulations and now widely recognized.
We are available to provide further explanations and details regarding:
- the new solder pastes and/or wire/bar alloys we are using for SMT and PTH component soldering;
- the process innovations we have implemented;
- the limitations and issues that still persist;
- the opportunities that our customers can take advantage of through our selective soldering machine and optical inspection equipment, now fully operational for the new processes.
