{"id":7413,"date":"2012-04-15T15:08:02","date_gmt":"2012-04-15T13:08:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.primelettronica.com\/cad-files-supported-by-our-ict-test-systems\/"},"modified":"2012-04-15T15:08:02","modified_gmt":"2012-04-15T13:08:02","slug":"cad-files-supported-by-our-ict-test-systems","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.primelettronica.com\/en\/cad-files-supported-by-our-ict-test-systems\/","title":{"rendered":"CAD Files Supported by our ICT Test Systems"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\"><strong>This article is part of a series of documents aimed at providing information to all Prime customers regarding the CAD files supported by our ICT (In-circuit Test) system.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">Prime is equipped with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seica.com\/it\/prodotti\/tester-sonde-mobili\/776-2\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">SEICA PILOT VIP L4<\/span><\/a> flying probe test system.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">To create a complete test program with this system, 2 files are required: <strong>the board CAD file and the BOM (Bill of Materials).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">The BOM is simply a text file containing component information (component name, value, component type, test tolerances, etc.). This file is generated by Prime when the customer sends the technical documentation. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">The electronic board CAD files supported by our test system can be of various types.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\"><strong>Prime recommends generating an ODB++ CAD file.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">This CAD file incorporates all the information necessary for printed circuit board production, from electronic board assembly to electrical testing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">If you are unable \u201cto generate an ODB++ CAD file, you\u201d can use the formats listed in the table below.<\/p>\n<table border=\"1\" align=\"center\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>CAD system<\/td>\n<td>Format<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Pads<\/td>\n<td>.asc &#8211; .pad<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Gencad<\/td>\n<td>.cad &#8211; .ige<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Cadif<\/td>\n<td>.asc &#8211; .paf<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you are unable to generate these files, \u201cother format types can be used.
